The Record
Instrumental Quaalude, vol. 1 collects Ben von Wildenhaus's podcast experiments from summer and fall 2009. The description names pedal steel, guitars, Wurlitzer, sipsi, voice and recorded sound across the pieces, including a Nicaraguan market recording in one account. The complete nine-week program restores Week Three from the separate Archive upload linked by the artist’s original podcast. This rendition of Bill Evans’s “Very Early” uses Wurlitzer, SG electric guitar and a sine-square generator, according to that entry. The source's under-five-minute slogan also has a stated exception. Transfer Report
Selected edition: Complete nine-recording original MP3 program; restored Week Three from the documented source. 9 audio files, 67,176,824 bytes and 33:30 of measured audio.
Verification: Archive published original-file size and MD5; full audio decode; every torrent piece. The seedbox copy matched every file’s SHA-256 and every torrent piece; all files passed public HTTPS range, length and byte checks. The house client verified the complete payload and is seeding it.
The nine-week first volume is restored by inserting Week Three (Very Early) between Week Two and Week Four. The artist’s original July 2009 podcast explicitly links this separate Archive upload, and the FMA album description identifies it as the omitted recording. The other eight files retain the original FMA mirror bytes. Week Three is credited to Bill Evans as composer; its source upload declares CC BY 2.5, retained separately from the FMA mirror’s CC BY 3.0 declaration. Original-file sizes and Archive MD5s pin all nine recordings; no lossless originals are indexed in either selected item.
The artist podcast names Very Early, credits Bill Evans and links the exact original Archive upload
Source inventory and delivery verification are recorded separately in the edition receipts.
Source limits: The selected source items publish original MP3 files and no original lossless audio. No independent listening or comparison with every possible copy is claimed; Week Three is the artist’s recording of Bill Evans’s Very Early. Its Archive upload declares CC BY2.5; that source statement is retained separately and does not establish a separate license for the underlying composition.
These are source and file checks; no comparative listening assessment is claimed.

Why It's Free
The eight recordings from the FMA mirror retain its CC BY 3.0 source declaration. The restored Week Three (Very Early) recording carries a separate CC BY 2.5 declaration on the artist’s Archive upload. Bill Evans is credited as composer in the original podcast entry. The upload’s declaration does not independently establish permission for the underlying composition.
Hosting this entry was approved by the owner on October 6, 2026. Each source declaration is retained as stated by its uploader.
