The Record
Henrik Jose’s third Monotonik release as Bliss is entirely instrumental, departing from the vocals that the label says sometimes characterize the project. Recorded in his Lund studio, Goodbye Brain, Hello Heart EP combines live instruments and synthesizers across three pieces. ‘You Have Something In Your Scowl’ leads into ‘Things Will Eventually Make Sense,’ with ‘Time Time Time’ closing the sequence. The release note places the material in late 2003 and mentions Jose’s collaboration with the video directors Pleix. That context explains the EP as a particular studio phase, while leaving its exact release date distinct from the material’s vintage.
