Dimitris Diavatis’s Black Ambience is presented as the first of several Bump Foot albums and EPs from the Croatian artist. His accompanying statement identifies ambient improvisations with a soundscape character suited to film use. Seven pieces begin with ‘The Wheel Stopped Turning’ and ‘Chili Brewing.’ Three related titles, ‘mf II A,’ ‘mf II B’ and ‘mf V,’ occupy the center before ‘Night In Plaza’ and ‘Sweep’ complete the album. The short artist statement supplies the improvisational framing but no substantial session or personnel account.
