The Record
The Conqueror Worm connects English project DunJIN's dark ambient work to Edgar Allan Poe. Six titles frame the sequence around “Ligeia,” beginning with “Ligeia Writes...” and ending with “Ligeia Expires...,” while the title poem occupies the fifth position. “The Tragedy, 'Man'” and “A Blood-Red Thing That Writhes” extend the literary vocabulary. The publisher names Poe as the inspiration for the collection. Poe's literary imagery supplies the conceptual frame for DunJIN's six-piece dark ambient collection.
