The Record
Jahzzar's Grab Bag gives piano the role usually occupied by a singer. The source describes independently moving instrumental lines, open-tuned acoustic guitar, melodica and bowed guitars, with ordinary environmental sound incorporated into the homemade recordings. “Dummy,” “Candlelight,” “Trust,” “Guilty” and “Storm” make a compact five-piece program. The notes explain the release's construction through arrangement and recording choices rather than attaching a generic relaxation label. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
