The Record

Jan Gruenfeld’s A Trace gathers recordings that his release statement connects with four or five years of following and collecting traces. He credits himself with recording, collecting and drawing them, while Marian Reinig handled graphic design. Thirteen tracks move from ‘Die Insel’ and ‘Sunny Sea Walk’ through ‘Wolke 7’ and ‘Warszawa’ to ‘Farewell To The Island’ and the title piece. ‘Climbed Trees’ explicitly notes singing by Cat. The island references recur in the sequence, but the short artist statement does not identify a literal travel itinerary or specific recording locations for every piece.

Transfer Report

Selected edition: 13-recording original FLAC ZIP edition from the documented source. 13 audio files, 275,592,159 bytes and 47:51 of measured audio.

Verification: Archive published ZIP size and MD5; locally observed ZIP SHA-256; member CRC and size; full audio decode; every torrent piece (no independent member checksum). The seedbox copy matched every file’s SHA-256 and every torrent piece; all files passed public HTTPS range, length and byte checks. The house client verified the complete payload and is seeding it.

Selected the original FLAC ZIP edition’s 13 audio recordings. The member sequence and filenames match the source’s reviewed album program.

Thirteen indexed tracks retain the explicit ‘sung by Cat’ credit. The four-or-five-year timeframe describes the artist’s collection process, not a precise single session or release date. Source and edition notes.

These are source and file checks; no comparative listening assessment is claimed.
