glare (2008)

jeremy bible & jason henry · 2008 · 57 min

Glare brings together Jeremy Bible and Jason Henry, two artists based in Canton, Ohio. The release notes describe their materials as field recordings, found sound, acoustic instruments and electronic design, placing the duo between musique concrète and experimental acoustic work. Five pieces span almost an hour, beginning with the title track and continuing through compact names such as “retlr” and “fermrslf.” The account relates the contrasting materials to the surrounding mix of farmland and industrial decline. That mix of rural and industrial surroundings supplies the label's frame for the duo's contrasting sound materials. Release description and source notes
