The Record
Motown Meltdown: Volume 2 extends Blanketship and Qulfus's reconstruction project to additional contributors including Rokhausen, Vytear, Lord Tang, T H E M A Y S and Beaks Plinth. The publisher describes a strict source rule: only the collection's karaoke-separated Motown recordings and added multitrack sessions could be used, with no outside instruments or beats. Thirteen resulting selections range from “Since I Decided to Go” to “Three Times Twice.” That method is the edition's distinguishing feature, giving the contributors the same restricted source pool for their reconstructions.
