Nic Bommarito’s A Quiet Age follows Harp Fragments in blocSonic’s account, returning the artist to the label after a six-year interval. The release thanks Brendan Held and Michael Connolly for musical contributions and Benjamin Wright for its visual presentation, without assigning instruments in the accompanying note. Eight tracks begin with ‘Splendid Alfonsino’ and ‘Elle va au Japon,’ pass through ‘KTM (Load-Shedding)’ and ‘Runaway Friction Tester,’ and finish with ‘Plant Food.’ ‘Resting Your Eyes’ and ‘Still Resting Your Eyes’ are distinct entries, an internal relationship the ordered album presentation keeps visible.
