Hug For Weirdo (2012)

Push And Play · 2012 · 16 min

Push and Play's Hug for Weirdo is introduced by Bump Foot as the label's first band from Indonesia. The five-track debut moves from “Good Morning” and “My Disderi” to “My Bedroom,” “Quena” and “Fix,” with the release statement describing electro-pop made in a bedroom-music setting. Its short accompanying message argues for welcoming people who seem unusual and finding harmony in difference. That gives the title a concrete social premise instead of treating it as an arbitrary phrase.
