The Record

Desktop Music gathers eight Robot Junkyard tracker pieces across drum-and-bass, ambient and older techno associations. Its most detailed source note concerns “Calling You,” a remix of Nakai Ryusuke's earlier ambient-techno track from the first mp3.com era. The artist says it was an early learning exercise retained because it fitted the EP's first half. “Breaker” opens and “Finale” closes, with “Electric Jellyfish” near the end. That recollection distinguishes an older remix among the other pieces and explains its place within the eight-piece collection. Release description and source notes
