RTJ4 (2020)

Run The Jewels · 2020 · 39 min

Run The Jewels released RTJ4 ahead of schedule in June 2020, making it available through their own website as a free album. The announcement records contributors including Mavis Staples, 2 Chainz, Zack de la Rocha, Josh Homme and Pharrell, alongside the duo's response to the moment in which it appeared.

The eleven-track sequence begins with “Yankee and the Brave (Ep. 4)” and closes with “A Few Words for the Firing Squad (Radiation).” “Walking in the Snow” and “Just” occupy its middle. That ending is part of the album's original boundary; instrumental versions, remixes and later expanded packaging need their own edition labels.
