The Record
Shinobu Nemoto’s Melting Loop Trip consists of sixteen numbered loops rather than a conventional short-song album. The 12rec note identifies the Kanagawa sound artist’s guitar improvisation and field-recording practice, alongside his other projects and MOUFU-ROKUON label. Each loop is described as lasting between six and thirteen minutes, with listening possible either by repeating an individual piece or following the whole collection. Kati Meden created a visual concept for the complete release and for each loop.
