The Record
SinQ's Passage introduces Dutch musician Sander van Oirschot to Monotonik with a release described through trip-hop, electronics and ambient music. The label highlights the use of Creative Commons-licensed sample recordings and names pianist Jeroen van Vliet in the opening “Who's Afraid of Noises?” Two “The Walk” pieces divide the early sequence around “Be Brave,” before “Overpass,” “Port Aventura” and “Are You There?” move toward “FreeJazz,” “Headphase” and “Epiloque.”
