August EP

tatsu · 41 min

Tatsu's August EP is a six-track Monotonik commission following the Japanese artist's earlier work on Bump Foot. Each piece has a paired title, from “Stillness / Introspective Me” and “Sky and Sea / Daytime Dream” through “Highland / Glass and Mountains” to “Memories of Summer / Goodbye August.” The label describes a move from a short ambient opening into percussion-driven, retro-oriented techno, with later pieces carrying simpler melodic figures before the final fade. That paired naming and stated progression give the EP its shape.
