The Record
The Plastic Jazz Orchestra's 39° is introduced through a statement attributed to founder Bernd Burnson about making new work from existing musical material. The release account dates the electronic ensemble's formation to late 2006 and says its members continued after Burnson's death the following summer. Ten pieces include “33 Cent,” “Mosaic,” “Jazz Solo,” “Roulette” and “Elongated Vector Gymnast,” with “Hold” explicitly labeled as the group's remix.
