Various Artists · 2012 · 52 min

Sojourn In A Sonic Odyssey continues netBloc's survey format with a geographically varied volume 38. The announcement describes a path through electronic music from Russia and Spain, hip-hop from Philadelphia and Quebec, Moroccan dubstep, indie pop and plunderphonics. Its opening pair, “Children” and “Normaagedon,” corresponds to the named et_ and Normaa examples in the publisher's introduction. Thirteen recordings end with “Martian Mellow Didley.” The edition works as a short stop among several independent scenes, moving between the electronic, hip-hop and pop scenes named in the publisher's introduction.
