Koelner Sommer (2005)

Zeugwart Hallbauer · 2005 · 31 min

Zeugwart Hallbauer’s Koelner Sommer combines layered loops and electronic rhythm with two associated videos. The 12rec note emphasizes reverberant space and polyrhythmic patterns, placing the music around house and techno with pop, jazz and hip-hop interests. Five tracks range from ‘Essen Dortmund Lederhosen’ to ‘S-Matrix,’ ‘Hochgeschwindigkeitswolken,’ ‘Datteln’ and ‘Magellansche Mondaufgaenge.’ The label says release was delayed while videos by Matthias Groebel and Rick Silva were completed, and credits Amaia Martín and Rui Oliveira for CDR packaging.
