The Record
Slam Funk is Thomas Cascino's Broke For Free album, presented with unusually concrete production notes. Cascino credits Ableton Live, played instruments, vocal samples and a Kaossilator synthesizer, with mastering by Justin Weis at Trakworx. The artist's statement places the music across electronic, hip-hop, funk, house and synth-pop influences. Twelve tracks stretch from “Nothing Like Captain Crunch” to “Our Ego,” which names Different Visitor as a guest.
