The Record
Danny Brown's XXX was released by Fool's Gold as a free download in August 2011. The label's release history connects its Detroit setting, hedonism and anxieties about growing older, while distinguishing the original giveaway from later bonus-track editions. Dust La Rock designed its cover.
The nineteen-song sequence begins with the title track and ends with “30.” “DNA” divides the running order before “Nosebleeds,” “Fields” and “Scrap Or Die.” Dopehead and Chips are the credited guests on “Bruiser Brigade” and “Detroit 187.” This page retains the original endpoint; the later digital bonuses extend the release rather than replacing its nineteen-track core.
