The Burns We Earn (2010)

Friends or Whatever · 2010 · 27 min

The Burns We Earn is the first single introducing Friends or Whatever's self-titled debut album on blocSonic. The announcement describes an indie-pop blend of guitars, bass, synthesizers and distortion, then expands the album version with remixes by Mach FoX, Kieron James, Virtu-oso, Tha Silent Partner, Sleaze and Lee Rosevere. The final “TSPmental” provides another explicitly named treatment. Eight versions of one song make this a remix-centered single package, with Adam Ferriss credited for the source photograph. The eight versions take the same song through outside remixes and the closing instrumental treatment. Release description and source notes
