The Record
Giraffe’s Dusty Window EP is a five-song folk release whose 12rec notes foreground guitar work and the artist’s voice. The label discusses ‘Sad Sister’ as a plea for individuality, places ‘The Fifth Wheel’ around a minimal descending phrase, and identifies ‘Venecian Blinds’ as a short miniature. ‘Clear Exotic Sea’ precedes the closing ‘an imperfect love song (to end things on),’ where the description specifically mentions melodica.
