The Record

Jack Johnson's Byron Bay festival set includes G. Love on the final three selections: “Steppin' Stone,” “Rodeo Clowns” and “Mudfootball.” Earlier, “Losing Hope,” “Gone,” “The News” and “Times Like These” lead into “Fortunate Fool,” “Sexy Plexi” and “Flake.” Two joined entries preserve “Bubble Toes” with “Stir It Up” and “Trenchtown Rock” with “Garden Grove,” so the twenty-file list contains several linked songs. The taper stood in the second row in front of the right speakers, with microphones clipped to a cap. That placement and the Minidisc source define this particular festival document.
