Faces (2014)

Mac Miller · 2014 · 87 min

Mac Miller released Faces as a free mixtape on Mother's Day in May 2014. Its twenty-four tracks made it a substantial project between studio albums, with guests including Earl Sweatshirt, Rick Ross and Vince Staples. The original release announcement records the giveaway; the visual artist Miller McCormick identifies the artwork with that 2014 release.

The sequence has recognizable landmarks beyond its guest list. “Happy Birthday,” “Wedding” and “Funeral” sit together in the middle, while the brief “55” separates longer pieces. “Grand Finale” supplies the original endpoint. Those details make a complete mixtape easier to identify than an album title alone.

Faces reached streaming services and vinyl in 2021. That edition adds “Yeah” after the original sequence, as the bonus-track listing shows. This page follows the twenty-four-track mixtape download, preserving its earlier endpoint and documenting the selected files separately.

Selected edition: Original twenty-four-track mixtape; no 2021 bonus track from the documented source. 24 audio files, 210,665,475 bytes and 86:54 of measured audio.

Verification: source size and MD5; full audio decode; every torrent piece. The seedbox copy matched every file’s SHA-256 and every torrent piece; all files passed public HTTPS range, length and byte checks. The house client verified the complete payload and is seeding it.

24 MP3 files at 320 kb/s, matching the original 2014 program without the 2021 bonus track. All track durations match the previous candidate within 0.83 seconds. Spectral samples from tracks 3, 17 and 23 retain audio from 17–20 kHz that the previous lower-bitrate candidate lacks, supporting this edition upgrade.

The source's track-23 tag names Retch; the original release announcement names Da$h. The visible guest credit follows that contemporaneous reference, and the literal file tag is retained as evidence. Every selected Archive original matches its published size and MD5, and its measured SHA-256 is recorded separately.

Source limits: Documentary edition/source review and technical verification; no human comparative listening is claimed; Lossy encoding and community-mirror mastering lineage remain disclosed where applicable.

These are source and file checks; no comparative listening assessment is claimed.
