The Record

moe.'s Higher Ground show features documented role changes as well as teases. “Recreational Chemistry” contains “Kashmir” and “Chalkdust Torture” references, while “Brent Black” surrounds drums and includes a “Meat” tease. Jim plays drums and Vinnie percussion for “Threw It All Away”; later, Jim again drums while Vinnie sings on “One Way Out.” The encore then reaches “Turn on Your Lovelight,” accompanied by a James Brown/Blues Brothers routine in the source account. “Plane Crash,” “Spaz Medicine,” “Mexico” and “Timmy Tucker” anchor the wider two-set program. Crowd and tuning entries preserve each performance boundary.
