The Record
In Frame pairs Monokle’s Vladislav Kudryavtsev with vocalist Sergey Galunenko, performing as Galun. The 12rec account explains that an earlier Monokle solo album, Tesaurus, went elsewhere before this collaboration was accepted for the label. The duo’s full-length combines beat-based electronics, pop melodies and post-rock-related material in the source description, with all music credited to Monokle & Galun. Twelve songs begin with ‘Happy Sun’ and end with ‘Means.’ Brandi Strickland supplied the cover collage. The actual collaboration credits matter here: Galun’s earlier beatbox background does not mean every vocal passage is independently documented as beatboxing.
