Ghosts V: Together (2020)

Nine Inch Nails · 2020 · 70 min

Nine Inch Nails released Ghosts V: Together alongside Ghosts VI: Locusts in 2020. The band's own statement presents the two records as different responses to uncertainty and isolation, with Together associated with moments of hope. The free release continues the instrumental-series identity while naming individual pieces rather than numbering them.

Eight tracks run from “Letting Go While Holding On” to “Still Right Here.” “With Faith,” “Your Touch” and “Hope We Can Again” reinforce the record's framing through their titles. The companion album remains a separate work with fifteen other pieces; joining both into one unnamed package would erase the contrast the artists explicitly established.
