The Record
Sichtbeton’s LP places Lunte’s raps over production that 12rec describes through expanded field recordings, cuts, noisy pads and mostly laid-back rhythms. Its account connects the lyrics with inner states and city life, while emphasizing that the voice binds the shifting instrumentals together. Thirteen tracks include the paired ‘kinder des mittelmass’ pieces and three variations on ‘sie liebt mich,’ ending with ‘nachts...’ The paired ‘kinder des mittelmass’ pieces and three ‘sie liebt mich’ variations provide recurring points across the LP. In 12rec’s account, speech, orchestral samples and synthesizer textures take their place around Lunte’s raps.
