The Record

The Smashing Pumpkins' Berlin Arena set opens with “Porcelina of the Vast Oceans” and “Behold! the Night Mare,” then runs through “Mayonaise,” “Superchrist,” “Lily” and “The Rose March.” The late program becomes a sequence of cited covers and teases: “My Blue Heaven,” “Easy Livin',” “Foreplay,” “For What It's Worth” and a “Wasted Years” fragment. “Daydream,” “Wound” and “United States” precede an encore of “Run, Shaker Life.” “1979” and “That’s the Way” also appear in the Berlin program, which makes room for a chain of cover fragments before its final return.
