The Record
The Smashing Pumpkins' Northrop Auditorium set begins with “Pale Scales” before “The Everlasting Gaze,” “Heavy Metal Machine” and “Age of Innocence.” “Blew Away,” “Tear,” “I of the Mourning” and “To Sheila” appear across a two-hour program that also includes “Disarm,” “Ava Adore” and “Rock On.” The first encore joins “Bullet with Butterfly Wings” to “Once in a Lifetime,” identified with Talking Heads in the source. After another encore call and band introduction, “Fuck You” and “Mayonaise” finish the music before an outro file. Those preserved return boundaries make the twenty-eight-entry edition specific to its full performance layout.
