The Record
Tenacious D's September 22, 2005 performance at The Wiltern Theater -Hurricane Katrina Benefit in Los Angeles, CA is preserved in this recording.
The Hurricane Katrina benefit retains introductions to “Kickapoo,” “Shells” and “Master Exploder,” alongside the songs themselves. The taper's account of “Double Team” describes Dave Grohl starting on drums without sticks until audience members returned them. An all-performer jam ends the evening. Those stage incidents and spoken introductions make this benefit recording a document of the occasion, not just a collection of Tenacious D tracks. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
