The Record
Transient’s Work/Play EP divides its production between two tools and two settings. The label says the ‘Work’ material was composed during work breaks using a Palm handheld, while ‘Play’ was made at home with Impulse Tracker. The sequence places ‘toasted,’ ‘all you can do,’ ‘chip ship,’ ‘sporty flute spoof’ and ‘play’ before the five ‘Work’ pieces beginning with ‘direct.’
