The Feature
Frank Sinatra as a hired assassin who takes over a family's living room because it happens to overlook the station where the President's train will stop. Sinatra plays him as needy and boastful, a man who wants to be admired for his work, and it is a far better performance than the film's modest reputation suggests. Sterling Hayden is the sheriff holding the room together. Quietly withdrawn from circulation for years after 1963, for reasons that need no explaining.
