The White Box

Aleksi Eeben · 23 min

Aleksi Eeben’s The White Box began as a thirty-two-song Commodore 64 disc-image compilation presented at Helsinki’s Alternative Party in January 2004. Monotonik’s downloadable audio selection is different: an eight-track MP3 mini-album highlighting newer compositions, made with Eeben’s own John Player tracker. The source also mentions SID files and Simon Carless’s accompanying scrolltexts. ‘Ground Expansion’ opens the selected program, while Juha Kujanpaa’s live-instrument treatment of ‘Motivation’ closes it.

Selected edition: 8-file MP3 edition from the documented source. 8 audio files, 25,577,472 bytes and 23:19 of measured audio.

Verification: source size and MD5; full audio decode; every torrent piece. The seedbox copy matched every file’s SHA-256 and every torrent piece; all files passed public HTTPS range, length and byte checks. The house client verified the complete payload and is seeding it.

Selected the source’s complete 8-recording MP3 edition in its documented file order.

Eight MP3 tracks form the audio selection. The 32-song C64 disc image and SID collection are separate representations with a broader program. The final Juha Kujanpaa mix is explicitly described as a live-instrument interpretation. Source and edition notes.
