The Record
Aleksi Eeben, formerly known in module music as Heatbeat, organizes Three Times The Music around an opening three-part suite: ‘Clockwork,’ ‘Ocean’ and ‘Western Movement.’ Five additional pieces follow, ending with ‘To Climb a Tree Remove Branches and Reverse Gravity.’ Monotonik’s note connects Eeben’s unconventional electronic melodies with his interest in jazz and includes Kristoffer Lawson’s story Of Contraptions and Things as accompanying text.
