The Record
Nicolas Bernier and Simon Trottier’s Objet abandonne en Mer grew from improvisation around a stranded-object concept, followed by extensive post-production. The 12rec account identifies acoustic and electric guitars, laptop, toy piano, other strings, percussion and microphones among their tools. Four files begin with ‘Harmattan’ and end with ‘Bourrasque.’ The title track contains three named internal parts within one recording, followed by ‘Et sa Corne de Brume.’ Field recordings and guitar material are described as central to the work.
