The Record
Drive-By Truckers's December 29, 2003 performance at Cooley's House in Gardendale, AL is preserved in this recording.
The source identifies this Drive-By Truckers performance as a private gathering for family and friends at Cooley's house. “Winter Wonderland” sits among “Zip City,” “Decoration Day” and “Outfit,” with “Danko/Manuel” and “Goddamned Lonely Love” later in the program. Sloan Simpson is credited for processing. The domestic setting is part of the recording's documented occasion, rather than a reason to pretend it was a regular ticketed tour stop. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
