Beast Mode (2015)

Future · 2015 · 28 min

Future's Beast Mode narrows the production partnership to Zaytoven for nine tracks. Released in January 2015, it falls between Monster and 56 Nights, giving that run of tapes a distinct middle chapter. The original announcement credits Young Scooter on the opening “Ooooh” and Juvenile on “Aintchu.”

“Lay Up,” “Peacoat,” “Just Like Bruddas” and “Real Sisters” occupy the sequence between those guests and the closing “Forever Eva.” Its nine-track boundary is part of its identity: it is shorter than several neighboring Future mixtapes, and a later sequel is another release. Producer and guest credits help distinguish this collaboration from a generic Future compilation.
