The Record

Hayseed Dixie's Broomfield Holiday Park recording is the closing set of the first Loopallu festival in Ullapool. The source says the band both opened and closed the event, but this package documents the latter appearance. “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” and “You Shook Me All Night Long” lead into a program that also includes “Black Dog,” “Ace of Spades,” “War Pigs” and “Highway to Hell.” “Moonshiner's Daughter,” “Corn Liquor” and “Duelling Banjoes” broaden that run before “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.” Instrumental passages interrupt the song run, adding further sections to a festival-closing program whose repertoire moves between heavy-rock titles and drinking songs.
