The Record

Jack Johnson's Lou's Records performance is interrupted during “Bubble Toes,” with the shutdown and resumed song separately preserved. The taper attributes it to crowds overflowing the parking lot toward the highway and railroad tracks, and reports Johnson negotiating to continue. “Better Together,” “Flake,” “No Other Way” and “Sitting, Waiting, Wishing” appear before that incident; “Banana Pancakes” closes the ten-file document. Adam Topol on congas and Zach Gill on accordion are credited for the last stretch. The interruption is part of this recording's historical context, while the crowd explanation remains attributed to the source account.
