The Record
Jack Johnson's August 1, 2005 performance at Verizon Wireless Theater in Houston, Texas is preserved in this recording.
Dan Lebowitz's lap steel and Matt Costa's guest turn connect this Houston set with its opening acts. Separate introduction and story files precede “Constellations,” “Breakdown” and “Two of Us,” making the collaborations identifiable. The source describes this as Jack Johnson's first Houston appearance, with a sold-out audience. Hendrix, Temptations and Gregory Isaacs passages occur inside his songs rather than becoming an invented list of separate cover performances. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
