Jasmin’s first EP introduces three pieces whose 12rec notes focus on interlocking bass and guitar, drums and the movement from sound collage into band playing. ‘holger fach’ opens, ‘buenos aires’ follows, and ‘vielleicht’ ends the sequence. The label also discusses a video called longing for moments of objectivity in connection with the closing song, describing a visual companion rather than another composition. This short presentation makes the trio’s arrangement approach a useful guide to the release. The accompanying video for ‘vielleicht,’ titled longing for moments of objectivity, extends the trio’s minimalist arrangement approach into a visual work, as discussed in the release notes.
