The Record
Jasmin’s second EP pairs rock and pop structures with the jazz and modern-classical interests described in 12rec’s release notes. The Munich trio starts ‘Lernen von Maedchen’ with programmed beats and filtered vibraphone before adding guitar, bass and drums. ‘Heute im Stadion’ and ‘Rote Sonne’ follow, and the extended ‘Koeln’ ends the four-song sequence. The label describes this as another collaboration with Rote Sonne Records and mentions a video for the closing piece. These details place the EP in a specific small-label setting and show why its guitar music is more particular than a generic electronic category suggests.
