For The First Time introduces Russian duo Karp0ff / Kaspar0ff through two songs heard in contrasting versions. The title song opens in its original mix and returns at the end in a piano version. Between those bookends, “When I Close My Eyes” appears first with an acoustic-guitar designation and then in its original mix. The publisher emphasizes expressive vocal melodies and harmonies within a relatively traditional rock setting.
