The Record
Lil Wayne and DJ Drama released Dedication 2 on May 22, 2006, continuing their Gangsta Grillz collaboration after the first Dedication. Wayne's verses move across borrowed instrumentals and short spoken passages, a format that makes the host and the sequence integral to the tape. DJ Drama's later recollections discuss its creation alongside Rob Petrozzo's account of designing the cover.
“Cannon (AMG Remix),” “SportsCenter” and “Get 'Em” are landmarks within a much longer running order. The closing “Georgia... Bush” addresses the response to Hurricane Katrina, grounding the tape in Wayne's connection to New Orleans. It shares the final track with the hidden “Weezy's Ambitionz.”
The reference tracklist contains twenty-five entries, including spoken interludes and that combined ending. Editions that split the hidden passage into another file can have a different file count without adding music; those boundaries need comparison when selecting a complete source.
