The Record
The Dead's July 4, 2015 performance at Soldier Field in Chicago, IL is preserved in this recording.
The July 4 Fare Thee Well package retains fireworks and patriotic PA music after the “U.S. Blues” encore. “Shakedown Street” opens the musical program, while “The Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion” appears in the second set. That closing environmental file belongs to the holiday event, rather than being attributed as another band composition. The circulated sixteen-bit transfer derives from the source's documented higher-resolution Schoeps microphone capture. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
