The Record
The Dead's July 3, 2015 performance at Soldier's Field in Chicago, IL is preserved in this recording.
The first Chicago Fare Thee Well date opens with “Box of Rain” and ends with “Ripple.” A tracked technical-difficulty pause interrupts the first set; later, “Help on the Way,” “Slipknot!” and “Franklin's Tower” form the closing main-set sequence. Phil Lesh's donor appeal remains before the encore. These event sounds distinguish the recording from a songs-only retrospective of the anniversary concerts. The source recording and release notes document this edition.
