Seeders have the complete download. 0 downloading · 1 completed downloads.

Open the .torrent file in your torrent client to start. It includes the webseed. A magnet link opens your client directly; it may need peers to find the file details. No account needed.

First download? Start here
  1. Install a torrent client on your computer, such as qBittorrent or Transmission, from its official site.
  2. Choose Download .torrent above. This small file tells your client which files to fetch; it is not the film, book, or music itself.
  3. Open that file in your client, choose a folder with enough space for the download size shown above, and start the transfer.
  4. Once it finishes, open the downloaded files. Leave the torrent in your client to share it with others.

Download not starting?
  • If a magnet does nothing, open your client first or use Download .torrent and open the saved file from the client.
  • If the client is waiting for metadata, try the .torrent file. It already includes the file details and available webseed fallbacks.
  • Check that the torrent is not paused or queued, your destination has enough free space, and your connection is online.
  • A recent seeder report is not a guarantee of a connection now. Webseeds can also be temporarily unavailable; leave the client open and try again later.

You do not need an account to download.

The Feature

Teen hot-rodders, a small Texas town, a sock hop, and a lizard photographed crawling over model scenery. Ray Kellogg's monster picture is considerably more interested in its kids and their cars than in its monster, which is exactly why it plays better than it sounds. Pure drive-in Americana: the rock number, the sheriff who actually listens to the teenagers, and a finale involving a hot rod full of nitroglycerin.

Print Report

Chosen print (2026-08-17): Archive.org item TheGiantGilaMonster, file The_Giant_Gila_Monster.mp4 — 0.72 GB, 720x480, 73.7 min.

Clean 720x480 transfer, 67k downloads. Culled along the way: a "widescreen quality upgrade" that crops the Academy frame to 16:9.

Selected from our vetted candidate queue after the automated reject rules and the owner eye-pass. Torrent generated from this exact file on 2026-08-17; that torrent is what the swarm carries.

Public Domain

Why It's Free

Public domain by long-standing distribution consensus: published 1959, renewal required in the 28th year and by all accounts never filed. The renewal window (1986–87) falls in the Copyright Office's post-1977 online records rather than the scanned CCE volumes, so the online renewal search is the named remaining verification step before the torrent publishes.
