The most famous salvage job in B-movie history. Corman had Boris Karloff for two days and a castle set about to be struck, so he shot Karloff first and worked out the plot afterward. Jack Nicholson wanders through as a lost French officer who seems to be in a different film. Something like five directors touched it, Coppola and Nicholson among them. The result is incoherent and strangely hypnotic, which is arguably what a haunted-castle picture should be.

The actual 1963 Corman film — worth stating because a naive title search returns The Terror Beneath the Sea (1966), a different movie, as its top hit. 2.06 GB MPEG-2, 140k downloads. A 720p MKV alternate was set aside until someone proves it is not the Film Chest commercial restoration.
