Ben Gibbard's solo program draws from both Death Cab for Cutie and the Postal Service, bringing “Brand New Colony” and “Such Great Heights” together with “Title and Registration” and “A Lack of Color.” Donovan, the Mountain Goats and Nirvana covers widen the set. The source's solo-performance label is essential context: these recordings are not the corresponding bands' studio versions simply because the same songs appear.
